The wedi Fundo RioLigno is a prefabricated walk-in shower tray specifically developed for use on timber joist floors and timber upper floors. Thanks to its extremely low installation height of just 25 mm, this shower tray can be installed almost flush with the existing floor construction. This makes the RioLigno the ideal solution for renovation projects and situations where every millimetre counts.

Installing a walk-in shower on a timber floor requires a technically well-engineered solution. The Fundo RioLigno integrates seamlessly into timber floor build-ups and prevents unwanted height differences. It provides a stable, fully waterproof base for tiling or a seamless finish with wedi Fundo Top, without compromising on safety or comfort.

Prefabricated slope and 100% waterproof core
Like all wedi Fundo shower trays, the RioLigno features a factory-formed slope. This ensures reliable water drainage towards the drain and prevents standing water. The core consists of extruded polystyrene (XPS) with a closed-cell structure, making it fully waterproof and resistant to moisture absorption. The surface is finished with a robust, fibre-reinforced mortar layer and is ready for direct tiling.
Drain solution – flexible and design-oriented finishing
The wedi Fundo RioLigno is supplied without a fixed drain, allowing you to select the most suitable wedi drain system for your installation and design requirements. In most applications, a DN-50 drain is used; for installations with minimal build-up height, a DN-40 drain is also possible. Combined with a range of drain covers and optional channel frames, both technical performance and aesthetic finishing can be perfectly aligned.
