The wedi Subliner Flex is a stable, crack-bridging decoupling membrane that absorbs movement and stress between the substrate and tiled surface. It prevents cracks in tile adhesive or screed layers caused by thermal expansion or substrate movement. Reinforced with a glass fibre mesh and coated on both sides, it provides strong adhesion and a reliable bond.

The wedi Subliner Flex is a fibre-reinforced decoupling membrane that reduces stress between the substrate and tiled surface. It prevents cracks and detachment of tiles caused by thermal or structural movement. Its low thickness makes it ideal for renovation and refurbishment projects.

Stress absorption and crack prevention

The Subliner Flex absorbs stresses caused by temperature changes, moisture or differing material expansion rates between substrate and tiles. The glass fibre mesh distributes pressure evenly across the surface, ensuring a long-lasting and stable tiled finish.

Perfect for renovation and underfloor heating

At just 0.85 mm thick, the Subliner Flex is ideal for low build-up floors and renovation projects. It can be used on cement screeds, anhydrite, wood substrates and existing tiled floors. The membrane is also suitable for underfloor heating systems, ensuring even heat distribution and stress relief.

Use with wedi system components

For best results, apply wedi 320 adhesive beneath the membrane and wedi 520 waterproofing slurry above it before applying the tile adhesive. This ensures a stable, secure bond between the substrate and the tile finish.

Differences between Subliner versions

The Subliner Flex provides only decoupling and crack-bridging. The Subliner Dry is fully waterproof, while the Subliner Dry & Flex combines both waterproofing and decoupling functions. Each version is designed for a specific application within the wedi system.
